Last year, I answered your beauty questions (well technically not your beauty questions, but the country’s beauty questions…at least according to Google) so I thought I’d do something similar today…but with your fashion questions. And this year, I’m making it MUCH easier.
As David Bowie once said, Ch-ch-changes ARE COMING TO FASHION WEEK. Those may not have been his exact words but it’s close enough. So let’s talk about this.
If budget-friendly gifts, ridiculously expensive presents or what to buy for the boys haven’t done it for you, don’t you worry…I’m not finished with the gift guides just yet. And because of a particularly inspiring / successful / wallet-emptying Dose Market yesterday, I thought today would be the perfect day for some local [holiday] love.
When I think of the fact I’ve gotten away with two WWW posts in December WITHOUT A COAT, I can’t help but feel like the luckiest girl in the world (along with every other Chicagoan). And no, this isn’t one of those situations where you see a blogger in a short sleeveless dress and open toe shoes with a field of snow in the background…I actually try to keep my outfits somewhat practical. And what’s more practical than black on black??
The best part about those “in-between” seasons (meaning Resort and Pre-Fall) is that the looks tend to me a little more approachable / relatable, rather than their Spring / Fall counterparts. Because we still have quite some time before we can actually buy these pieces next year, why not take some styling notes and try the looks right now? What I like to call the PRE Pre-Fall…
