You know I love food. Like fashion, I could talk about it all day (sometimes I combine the two and the result is BANANAS). Today, I’m taking a bit of a different approach than I typically do. We’re going to take a look at food but from a beauty perspective. Can you eat your way to clear skin, strong hair and white teeth? Let’s find out.
During fashion month, we talk about three things — 1. the collections (because isn’t that what’s it’s all about?) 2. street style (what happens outside the shows has now become just as important as what happens on the runway, whether we like it or not) and 3. celebrity sightings…but mostly just Kim K’s new platinum hair (Jared too!) The beauty scene doesn’t get as much attention, so today I thought we’d change all that.
How many minutes (or even hours) do we spend per year trying to find the perfect Instagram filter? I don’t have the answer…but I’m sure it’s longer than we’d like to admit. Why waste all that time when you can spend it doing productive things like making reservations on OpenTable and watching TMZ? I understand we all want to look good in photos, but a faux filter may not always be the answer…
There are certain things you come across in life that make everything just a little easier. An app, a recipe, an As Seen On TV product you were embarrassed to buy but you’re glad you did. And when you find such a thing, why keep it to yourself? Share the wealth. That’s exactly what I’m doing today…but in the category of beauty (no perfectly stacking lids or 30 minute meals here, sorry friends).
Show of hands (or comments, in this case) — who dyes their hair? And how often do you have to get those roots done? Every eight weeks? Six? Four? What if I told you to stop making those salon appointments and just get back to your roots? Well, that’s what I’m telling you today. Don’t freak out. Just keep reading.
