OOTD: Outfit Of The [Holi]Day

Besides the insane holiday marketing that is the 55 days of Christmas, I told myself I wouldn’t be one of those “holiday pushers” who throws a 300 item gift guide in your face as you put your Halloween costume away. With the day we give thanks and stuff ourselves like the birds we eat (which may not apply to those who opt for a Tofurky) being exactly one week from today, I thought it was about time for my first official holiday post of the season. Those parties are approaching…and you don’t want to be another basic bitch in sparkly dress now do you?

55 Days Of Christmas

November 1: Checking how many Instagram likes your costume got last night. The time changes (good thing, because your Halloween festivities basically required that extra hour of sleep). We get a little more daylight in the morning (beats waking up in the dark). Now ready for bed around 5:30pm. Everything Halloween on clearance (taking advantage of the candy sale, specifically). So what does it all mean? Cue the Christmas commercials!

2014: The Year Of [Insert Here]

It’s here, my friends. The last day of the year. Of course we can reflect on the awesome things we did this year (check!) or you can drown your sorrows in a bottle of Moet tonight and reflect on the not-so-awesome things you did this year (but don’t…it’s a buzzkill). Many make New Year’s Resolutions, which you’ll be sure to forget about by January 2 (January 5 if you have extra will power and good memory). But why get sentimental and serious? Let’s have some fun.
