Title: Associate Merchandise Buyer/Planner

Description:

Brideside was the first online sales channel for many of the top brands in the bridesmaid dress category and many more are clamoring to work with them. Their merchandise strategy is cutting edge and evolving, relying on an e-commerce platform, try-at-home program and in-store experience to bring stellar product to our customers. They are looking for an analytical yet creative person to help them maintain their high-end brand position and grow the product offering.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage merchandise planning and buying for existing and new designers
    • Tops down and bottoms up seasonal assortment planning to accurately forecast inventory needs
    • Maintain and present monthly, quarterly, and annual merchandising sales reports to lead monthly business review, recapping to identify opportunities and inform future strategy with merchandising teams weekly and cross-functional teams monthly
    • Review margin and propose retail changes to support margin plan.
  • Assist in the development of digital marketing strategy, with strong use of data analysis to help inform key decisions on what, when, and how to promote the Brideside brand
    • Assist in the development of the promotional cadence and product marketing calendar
  • Assist in merchandise training for stylist team
    • Provide stylists with information regarding brand, product, and online assortment strategies
    • Collaborate with key stakeholders to form selling strategies including customer communications and site user interaction
  • Maintain website for new product uploads and sample inventory accuracy
  • Provide ad hoc reporting as needed to measure sales, margin and inventory sell thru; analyze historical sales data and current trends; define action plan.
  • Travel to bridal markets and serve as Brideside product ambassador
  • Manage visual merchandising of Brideside studios and pop-up shops

Requirements & Skills:

  • Pumped about start-ups and entrepreneurship
  • Comfort with large data sets
  • Proficiency with excel and data analytics tools
  • Ability to work with cross functional teams to see the forest through the trees

Experience:

  • 3+ years experience in consumer internet and e-commerce
