About Madison Hall:
Celebrated Chicago independent retailers Lance Lawson and Jim Wetzel announce their latest project Madison Hall – the major retail component within Commune Hotels & Resorts’ highly anticipated Chicago Athletic Association hotel – designed by the renowned Roman and Williams team – opening in late spring 2015. Occupying two storefronts along the hotel’s Madison Street entrance, Madison Hall consists of two shops designed with nods to the building’s original Venetian Gothic structure that will take visitors back in time; modern lifestyle products will be featured within the pair of brand-new, custom-designed jewel box spaces. The East space will feature special hotel sundries, unisex apothecary items, books, magazines, and men’s accessories in an environment that hearkens back to the old-school drugstores of the 1930s. The East space will also feature a barber chair where a rotating assortment of the city’s top stylists will offer custom haircuts.
In the the West space, originally the Ladies’ Lounge within the all-male club, shoppers will be treated to the atmosphere of a prewar classic women’s boutique, replete with fresh flowers, a fragrance counter, and a highly curated assortment of women’s accessories. As with their current Michigan Avenue lifestyle store, space519, Lawson and Wetzel will scour the globe to find the latest cutting-edge products for Chicago Athletic Association’s guests and the hotel’s neighboring Millennium Park community.
