CCF Loves: Zimmermann Ringmaster Dress

zimmermann ready-to-wear, metallic dressI used to think of Zimmermann as just swimwear and resort, until I visited a few of their stores in Australia and I felt like I’ve really missed out some awesomeness all these years. Their ready-to-wear is super unique, almost a combination of funky feminine styles with a sophisticated touch. Exhibit A: this Zimmerman dress (part of the Ringmaster collection for SS14).

I’m typically more of a gold person but there’s something about this dress that looks even cooler in silver (technically, chrome…even better). If this dress were any other color, it would be super feminine (especially in a pastel) but this metallic gives it a bit more edge and there’s nothing I love more than those two styles mixed together. And if you really want to take this dress to another level, take note from the runway and try a striped silver lurex blouse underneath. You won’t be disappointed.

CCF Loves: Ellis Faas Mascara

ellis faas, perfect mascaraIs it just me or is it nearly impossible to find the ideal mascara? I feel like I’ve been on the hunt since I started wearing mascara about 13 years ago and I only found “the one” very recently. I used to be all about Benefit’s They’re Real! (the first mascara I’ve ever actually liked) and although it’s still one of my favorites, I found something even better.

I have to thank Glossybox x Net-a-Porter for this one because I’m not sure if I would have discovered Ellis Faas otherwise. When I say this is THE perfect mascara, I mean it. All I want is length and volume with no clumps. Is that too much to ask? This somehow is very difficult to find in the mascara world yet Ellis Faas has finally filled the void. Now my lashes are exactly how I want them to be. And it doesn’t hurt that the packaging is pretty badass…

CCF Loves: Proenza Schouler x Le Bon Marché

proenza schouler, la bon marche, designer collaborationNot being in Paris right now means missing out on the last leg of fashion month and not being able to check out the Proenza Schouler exhibition at Le Bon Marché, so that kind of sucks but I do have some good news. To celebrate the exhibit, we have a Proenza Schouler Le Bon Marché collaboration to shop. Sweet!

Notebooks, wallets, a hat, some totes, tees and scarves…it’s all in the collection and it’s everything a Proenza super fan could ask for. As much as I adore the entire collection, I’m really into the wallets. Not only because they’re quintessential Proenza but there’s six colors to choose from AND they’re under $200. Not too shabby, right?

CCF Loves: Mua Mua Doll

mua mua doll, anna wintour

If you happen to be looking for a quirky piece to add to your home (or if you need a gift for a fashion-forward child) then look  no further. This “Anna Wintour” Mua Mua doll is not only cute and hilarious but just down right awesome. It’s also a very rare opportunity to see Anna surfing (which I’m not sure if that’s actually ever happened…although something I would enjoy watching).

The only criticism I have is that this is not a Chanel or Proenza surfboard BUT it’s still Anna Wintour, she’s on a surfboard (or as Beyonce would say, “surftboard”).

CCF Loves: 3.1 Phillip Lim Totes Amaze Tote

phillip lim tote, totes amaze

Looks like Markus Lupfer isn’t the only one being totes amaze

Phillip Lim made a pretty genius move for Fall 2014 by making this bag happen. This is only a photo of the front but I think you can make an educated guess on what it says on the back (okay, it says AMAZE). I like that from far away it just looks like a nude tote but close up it’s a quirky / awesome (although super trendy and will probably be worn by every blogger before you know it) nude tote.

Not to rush you or anything but this bag is only available for nine more days on Moda Operandi…and it looks like one of those things that will sell out the second it hits stores. Hey, don’t say I didn’t warn ya!
