Throwback Thursday: The Last 4 Years

In just a few days, ChiCityFashion turns 4 (which is 28 in blog years) but because that day isn’t a Thursday and you can only throw it back on a Thursday (unless you flash it back on a Friday and unfortunately I can’t have a Throwback Thursday AND Flashback Friday feature on ChiCityFashion…conflict of interest, really) I thought today would be the perfect day to recap some of my favorite things that happened on CCF in the last four years.

Ready? Let’s do this.

Thanks, It’s Custom

Every year around this time, I have to make that decision — to gift guide or not to gift guide? I myself struggle with finding the perfect gift so does that mean I have no authority to put these things together or I’m the perfect person to do so? Regardless, because I’ve never done a weekly gift guide (maybe one or two sprinkled throughout the last few holiday seasons), I decided that starting today you will get a gift guide on CCF every week until Christmas (and if you celebrate Hanukkah, you better get going).

Making Moves

The last few weeks have been one big game of fashion industry musical chairs, except not all of these names in fashion have declared their new seat…yet.

If you’re wondering who these people are, where they are going, why they’re important and maybe even who I’d pick for my fake magazine masthead, then today is one of those days you should really keep reading (although shouldn’t you always?)

London Fashion Week

Yesterday I finally shared my first London update and now the journey continues, but this time with one of the coolest things I got to do during my trip — experience a different kind of fashion week. I think you can put two and two together to figure out which one.

Insta London

If you read Thursday’s post and/or happen to follow me on Instagram, you may have realized I am currently not in my typical Chicago surroundings. I’m in a place that still has telephone booths, where fish and chips are mandatory to consume and one that has the most incredible department stores I’ve ever shopped at (and typically, I’m not even a department store kind of girl).
