Ever since my discovery of these dainty Gabriela Artigas earrings in Sydney last February, I’ve been hooked (literally) on hook earrings. As the months go by, I notice more and more designers getting on board with this. Whether it’s a bold statement (like what Delfina Delettrez and Givenchy are known for) or something much smaller, these types of earrings are having a moment. So why not embrace it?
Those Dior earrings. Who hasn’t worn them at this point? From Rihanna and Emma Watson to bloggers worldwide, these BALLer (get it?) pieces of ear decor have been a huge hit. But is everyone sporting the famous Dior version? Let’s find out.
Who said two was better than one? Because when it comes to earrings, I beg to differ. Lately, I’ve been living the single life…single earrings that is.
When it comes to jewelry, I have my phases. Sometimes I’ll be really into statement necklaces or big rings but right now (and by right now I mean for the past year or so) I’ve been doing the dainty thing — stacking lots of smaller jewelry instead of focusing on one or two larger pieces. I’m all for a statement, don’t get me wrong, but you’d be surprised how practical this kind of jewelry is for this time of year…
Ear cuffs have been on my radar for the last couple of years, but my feelings towards them were indifferent. I couldn’t tell if they were either really awesome or just looked like glorified bluetooth sets/bejeweled hearing aids. I’ve seen some interesting ones in street style photos and I figured if Tommy Ton fancies them, I should too. But the real question is…will they stick around or be short-lived like feather hair extensions and [hopefully] sneaker wedges.
