From The Runway: Fall 2013 Trends

Now that fashion month is officially over, it’s time to review the runways and see what we’ll be wearing this coming Fall. I realize it’s barely Spring but this is how fashion works. Just like heeled running shoes, it makes perfect sense.

And because it’s always fun to be ahead of the trends, I found some pieces you can wear this Spring that are still perfectly on trend for Fall ’13. Here it goes…

NYFW Fall 2013 Day 7: The Finale

After 7 straight days of shows, presentations, meetings and parties (which happen to be all over NYC), I’m more than ready to sit still for a few minutes (preferably without shoes on) and get back to my real life in Chicago. Not like I didn’t have fun (because the bags under my eyes prove that I did) but there’s only so much a girl can take…but because I’m not fashion WEAK, it’s all worth it in the end.

NYFW Fall 2013 Day 6

Yes, fashion week is still happening. The blisters on my feet are fresh, the bags under my eyes are darker than ever but hey, I’m still moving. NYFW Fall 2013 Day 5

Between meetings and shows, yesterday was one of those days where I was in a different neighborhood every hour. It was fun, but when time is of the essence it’s also a little nerve-wrecking. Not going to lie, I was kind of proud I made it to everything I was supposed to…and on time. Snaps for me. Okay anyway, first show of the day was at Milk Studios…

NYFW Fall 2013 Day 2

If you’re not in NYC, you may have heard about this little storm called Nemo. Not sure where this name came about but let’s just say it was not easy to dress for. I assumed everyone would be dressed down at least a little bit (after all, would YOU want to ruin a $1,500 pair of shoes?) but I was pretty wrong. I didn’t think I’d be the only one in jeans and a t-shirt with flat boots, but I was wrong. It’s probably the Chicago in me that wants to go utilitarian. But at least I didn’t look like the idiot outside Lincoln Center in a super short and tight mini dress, with no tights and platform pumps. Yes, this really happened. But let’s get to the real fashion now.
