I thought about doing a Throwback Thursday in honor of Kate Moss’s birthday (it just so happens to be on the only day of the week you can throw it back, apparently) but I just did that for the other British Kate (as in Middleton) one week ago today. I couldn’t ignore the fact that THE Kate Moss is turning 40 so I thought we should do something a little differently to celebrate her four fabulous decades on earth.
So, here’s a look at some things we can thank Kate for.
Spring ad campaigns that is. Ironically it’s -14 degrees here in Chicago right now so looking at pretty Spring clothes is just what the doctor ordered.

It was a good run, guys. In case you haven’t heard, Marc Jacobs just left Louis Vuitton after being their Creative Director for 16 years. His recent collection that showed just yesterday at Paris Fashion Week was his last. From pajama dressing to fur in some interesting places, and everything in between, we’re throwing back this Thursday to look at Marc’s evolution at Louis Vuitton.
Fashion month is approaching and there’s several pounds worth of paper (known as September issues) to prove it. Between fashion weeks all over the world, Fall merchandise rolling in, and the thickest magazine issues of the year all happening next month, you can’t avoid fashion in September. I love the topic of trends, especially “it” bags, because trying to figure out exactly where they come from is always so interesting to me. When trends typically came from the runway, “it” bags were made “it” bags because they were worn by a certain celebrity…and now things have moved in a bit of a different direction thanks to the handy dandy Internet. And today, we’re going to talk about it…all of it.
