It’s the one day of the year where everyone tries to be eco-friendly, where all the blogs are writing about sustainable fashion, and we’re all extra proud we’ve been recycling for so many years (if you didn’t know…it’s Earth Day). I’ve done the whole how to fashionably contribute to Earth Day types of posts in the past (although I’m still pretty proud of last year’s) but this year, I’m using Earth Day as an excuse to write about something I’m quite passionate about…although the passion is still pretty new for me. Can you guess what it is?
Wonder what was trending in 2014? (besides Birkenstocks and Kendall Jenner) Thankfully we have Google to tell us who and what was popular this year (sorry if you didn’t make the cut…) From most searched (and for cocktails it was the year of the margarita) to trending (Iggy Azalea took that home for music artists…basically a Grammy?).
With 2014 winding down, I thought I’d dig a little deeper into one of the featured categories. Curious to know what the top five beauty questions were this year? You should be. Even better, I HAVE THE ANSWERS.
When it comes to beauty, I feel the same way as I do about fashion — I’m always looking for that cool new emerging brand that’s doing something no one else is doing (which is pretty difficult to do in either industry). Because this is ChiCityFashion (which is quite fashion-focused) I can’t forget about my other love, beauty. I haven’t touched on the subject in a while (with the exception of this) because there hasn’t been anything that’s really stuck out to me worthy of sharing on CCF. But that all changed last Thursday night…
I hate to make another one of those “beauty obsessions” posts (I’m sure you see plenty) but I’ve been trying a lot of new products lately and I haven’t done a beauty post in a while, so I thought I’d give it a go. This isn’t necessarily a summer beauty feature (these products are great now as well as year round) but because it’s July which means summer is in full swing (although that’s questionable in Chicago) it’s time to get your July beautified.
