Peace Love & Runway

When it comes to trends, they’re usually something obvious like a color, a silhouette, a certain accessory, even a time period…but this specific one has a broader spectrum that ranges everywhere from 60s rock ‘n’ roll to the current rave culture. Let’s just say your music festival style will be set next spring.

Coachella Upgrades

This weekend, I will be venturing to Indio, California for the only reason I know to visit this part of Cali — Coachella. For my 25 years on Earth, I’ve been a Coachella virgin and as of this Friday that will all change. I’ll officially become a [well-traveled festival] woman (because my outdoor music experiences in the past have only occurred in the Chicago area) but one who will not be partaking in any of the following…

Lollapalooza Dos & Don’ts

With one of the largest music festivals in the world happening this weekend in Chicago, there’s a lot of good, bad, and down right crazy about to go on at Lollapalooza. I’m sure you’ve gotten your fair share of “what to wear to a music festival” posts, last year I shared my Lollapalooza essentials (which go for any music festival, really) and this year I’m doing something a little different.

The Bra Top

When it comes to certain trends, you definitely need to have some guts to try them out (and even more to pull them off). I consider things like a full-on pajama-like outfit, a bright monochromatic suit, and a completely sheer top to be in this category. If you’re looking for an easy trend, go black and white. If you’re looking for something a little more…ballsy…then just wear a bra. Seriously.

Lollapalooza Weekend

I don’t like crowds, I don’t particularly love guys in tank tops yet for some reason I’ve always enjoyed going to Lollapalooza. Maybe it’s the fact that it’s the perfect opportunity to judge people with no remorse or the fact that I can let out my inner hipster (which is more just like a fake hippy) but regardless of all that…I went…and it was awesome.

Things started off at the Gilt City rooftop party Saturday at EnV…

PhotobucketRooftops are the most valuable asset when it comes to Chicago summers. Remember that.
