Varsity jackets have been making somewhat of a revival the last few years. This is something I personally enjoy because it makes me a little nostalgic. One, because I remember my parents having them (similar to this but with black sleeves) and two, sports weren’t really my thing so I never actually got to own a real varsity jacket. Instead, I got to wear a super uncomfortable cheerleading uniform with orthopedic-looking gym shoes…and those, my friends, were great times.

So getting back on track…

What Why Where: Cold, Chains & Cold Chains

18 degrees? No problem. Let me just throw on some thin gloves and a lightweight coat. And of course it makes sense to wear lots of metal in these temperatures. Yeah, this sounds about right.

What Why Where: Black, White & Blue

You know when you just bought something, you can’t wait to wear it, and you’ll do everything in your power to make an outfit work based around that one thing? That’s how I felt about these Elizabeth and James boots. I had my eye on them for some time, but when Shopbop had their Friends & Family sale, I was like “Carpe Diem!” and I now own one of the most impractical items a Chicagoan can possess…white boots.

Shopping Net-a-Porter Under $200

I get really excited 3 times a year and 3 times a year only: the summer Net-a-Porter sale, the Winter Net-a-Porter sale, and Christmas. Over the summer, I rounded up my favorite items on the luxury site for under $250. With their Winter sale in full swing and further reductions added today (meaning my bank account will be significantly less before lunchtime), I thought this would be the perfect time to pick the best items from the sale…but this time make it under $200.

What Why Where: Hats Off

Like I’ve mentioned in the past, I always say I will wear hats and I never do. Well it looks like things are turning around for me.
