A Proenza Surprise

Remember this post from my New York trip in July? Well the day has finally arrived…and I received my custom Proenza Schouler PS1 I designed with Jack and Lazaro this summer! I still can’t believe this is real, but yeah…it happened.

I want to share with you amazing photos of this bag, but unfortunately I don’t have a lot of time (especially in daylight…which we get like 5 hours of now) to do that. So for now, here’s a sneak preview including me opening the package from New York and the special engraved plaque on the inside with my initials.

Chi City Closet: Latch Collection Bracelet

I think it’s obvious by now that I have a sick obsession with neon. Mix that with a local designer who creates handmade bright and fun bracelets? It’s Latch Collection by Laura Jastram…how can you not love it.

When it comes to jewelry, I love to layer. The more the merrier, right? This piece is a statement on its own, but it’s still fun to mix it up and wear with my watch and a few other simpler bracelets.

Latch Collection bracelets also make a great gift for the holidays. Who wouldn’t want a neon addition to their arm party? Visit Latch Collection on Etsy for more info.

Gifts To Give & To Get on Possessionista

I always appreciate a blog that writes about things I like (clothes) and does it in witty, sarcastic and all around funny way. And who does that best? Possessionista of course. So when she asked me about the one gift I want to get this Christmas and the one I’d like to give, I was excited to share…but even more excited to see how it would come together.

“…but Jena’s platformed feet are planted firmly in the ground. It’s just that the ground usually happens to be the first floor of Barneys.”

This is all very true, but you’ll just have to click here to view the full story!

Getting Dosed at Dose Market

This weekend I went to Holidose (the Holiday version of Dose market) with my friend Chelsea . I thought it would be the perfect way to accomplish some holiday shopping but the day didn’t really go according to plan.

After some fried chicken with honey butter, 2 pie shakes from Hoosier Mama, and some purchases from C/FAN, Chalk Boutique and One of One jewelry….I realized none of these were gifts and I completely failed at my mission of holiday shopping. But hey…I left full, satisfied (a little fat) and excited about these new additions to my wardrobe. So I guess it wasn’t a completely failed mission 🙂

Here’s some of my photos from Dose. These markets occur every month so if you haven’t been yet, you should definitely check out the next one! It’s all about food, fashion and shopping local…how can you resist?
