Best Colored Denim Shorts Under $150

Colored denim has been a huge trend in the last year but when it’s 95 and humid like it’s been lately in Chicago, skinny jeans are the last thing on your mind. So instead of a DIY project (it takes serious skill to cut your own denim…trust me, I’ve tried) I picked out my favorite colored denim shorts and they’re all under $150!

Animal Royal-Tee

Because I can’t get enough of Animal Royalty (see my interview with the designer here) I wanted to share some personal style photos of my new AR t-shirt. Worn with my favorite Rag & Bone black skinny jeans (that I wear way too often), Proenza Schouler Spring ’10 wedges and my PS11 for a pop of color, this is  how I wear my Animal Royal-tee. How would you wear yours?

Day In The Life Instagram Road Trip on IFB

Over the weekend my photos were featured on IFB’s Instagram! These photos were used as part of their digital summer road trip featuring various bloggers from around the country. Every day until the end of the month IFB (Independent Fashion Bloggers) puts up 5 photos on their Instagram that best encompasses a day in the life of that blogger.

My day was Saturday so be sure to follow @_ifb on Instagram for even more #dayinthelife photos.

StyleCaster’s Invitation To Be Fearless

This Wednesday, Amy Creyer of Chicago Street Style is hosting an event at the Teddie Kossof salon in Northfield, along with Second City Style & Midwasteland. Put on by StyleCaster and Sebastian Professional, this is an exciting opportunity for those in the ‘burbs looking for a fun event to attend.

Teddie Kossof is a North Shore staple. Just down the street from where I grew up actually! So come out and mingle with local trendsetters this Wednesday from 7-9pm.
