If you’ve ever been inside Bergdorf Goodman, I’m sure you know that it’s more than just a store…it’s a magical place (especially the second floor…I can’t contain myself when I’m around all those shoes). And clearly, I’m not the only one feels this way.
If director Matthew Miele got Diane Von Furstenberg, Georgina Chapman, Karl Lagerfeld, Oscar De La Renta, Vera Wang, Marc Jacobs, and Christian Louboutin (just to name a few) to gush to the camera about how fantastic Bergdorfs is…then it’s worth making a movie about. I can talk about how much I love Bergdorfs all day long but unfortunately that didn’t make the final cut.
Appropriately titled Scatter My Ashes at Bergdorf’s goes behind the inner workings of the historic department store, including an interview with their top personal shopper Betty Halbreich (who claims she’d be drinking if she wasn’t doing what she’s doing…but why not do both and just have it all?) as well as how they come up with those phenomenal window displays. I really am just in awe every time I see them. They are truly incredible.
But that’s not the best part…my boys Jack and Lazaro even make an appearance. So that’s reason enough for me to see this movie.
Scatter My Ashes At Bergdorfs premieres in NYC on May 3 then “expands across the country in following weeks” (so I need to know when it’s Chicago’s turn ASAP). Don’t be a loser like me and watch the trailer 9 times in a row. Because that happened.
DYYYING.
OMG! I have to see this
