It’s NO secret that I’m addicted to all blush everything (coats, dresses, sweaters, and even a head-to-toe look) so this week’s WWW should be of no surprise…
Clearly I’ve got spring on my mind and I’m ready for some lightness (even if I don’t always show it…)
WHAT (am I wearing):
Top: T by Alexander Wang. Jeans: Express. Jacket: Acne Studios. Shoes: Chloe. Sunglasses: Celine. Bag: Balenciaga.
WHY (am I wearing it):
I have to be real with you…this was one of those days where I waited until the very last minute to get dressed. I knew I was going to be out all day and I probably had about three minutes to put an outfit together. I was pretty sold on wearing this blush leather jacket (any chance to wear blush, I’ll take!) but I didn’t want to go my usual route of either pairing it with black (easy) or doing a full on blush look (been there, done that). To keep things light (hoping that spring weather is here to stay), I decided to pair with a faded denim. Technically this tank is burlap but it looks like [almost] white wash denim, doesn’t it? If I took off the jacket it would basically be a denim on denim look…but it’s not sleeveless top weather just yet, so the jacket stays on (for now!) Typically when I wear an all light look, I like to keep the shoes light as well, but I wanted to play with the blue hue of the top / pants and add a deeper blue with the navy block heels (which are ridiculously comfortable by the way…re: flats vs. heels). Plus, I always try to incorporate different style elements into an outfit, so some grungy ripped denim with an edgy moto jacket and a pair of ladylike heels are a great way to put together a well-balanced look. Adding just one more touch of blush with the bag and THAT’S how you do blush and blue!
