It’s been almost two months since I got back from London and all I have to show for it is a fake British accent and some awesome clothes…so because I can’t have the Tube, Dover Street Market and Kate Middleton in my backyard, I opted for this.
All London [almost] head-to-toe is the theme of this week’s What Why Where.
CHECK OUT THAT HEIGHT!
WHAT (am I wearing):
Shirt: Peter Pilotto. Coat: Topshop. Pants: Topshop. Shoes: 3.1 Phillip Lim. Bag: Charlotte Olympia. Sunglasses: Zac Posen x Illesteva. Rings: Dana Rebecca, Ellie Jay, Iwona Ludyga.
WHY (am I wearing it):
When putting this outfit together, I didn’t realize towards the end that it had one theme in common — London. The pants and coat are from Topshop…doesn’t get more British than that. The shirt is from Dover Street Market in London and as an added bonus, Peter Pilotto happens to be one of my favorite UK-based designers (and just one of my favorite designers in general). Charlotte Olympia is now the quintessential British accessories designer so that takes care of the bag. I did cheat, however, with the shoes. They are Phillip Lim (not very british), however I got them at Liberty London so that has to count for something, right? But besides being all British today, I did put this look together based on reasons other than origin of designer. I wanted to take on the challenge of wearing what’s basically a sweatshirt and sweatpants and make it look like a real outfit. With faux leather jogging pants and a printed pullover, I’m hoping it doesn’t look like I just rolled out of bed (I did even brush my hair for you guys…you’re welcome). Topping it off with my new go-to coat, the shoes I will not stop wearing and one of my favorite clutches I’ve ever owned…you get today’s WWW. Now let’s go get some fish and chips.
