One of YouTube’s top bloggers, Lo Luthringshausen is one to watch…AND she’s not even out of high school yet! So I was flattered when she asked to interview me her Who To Know page. See how I fell in love with fashion, my blogging advice and more on Who To Know: Jena Gambaccini.

Chanel Top Coat Velvet

From someone who has an extensive nail polish collection, that includes a few matte colors, I’ve always wanted a matte top coat but could never find one. And thanks to a white elephant mishap last week, I discovered Chanel Top Coat Velvet.

I wanted to do a really fun manicure for New Years and because I dedicate my Mondays to manis…I get to share my NYE nails with you today!

I thought it would be cool to try something unconventional and do the matte top coat over a black glitter nail polish…and I absolutely love the results!

Are you doing a fun manicure for New Years?

Four Seasons SPArty

Last night I attended the SPArty at the Four Seasons Chicago. I was so thankful to be invited to something like this because let’s be honest…I can always use a massage after a long day. Everyone on the Four Seasons staff is wonderful and it was such a great way to end the day. A massage, champagne and delicious bites…yeah it was pretty awesome.

This was the kick off to the Four Seasons’ first ever global #FSspa chats that will be happening on Twitter until November 18. Be sure to follow @FourSeasons and @FSChicago to keep up with the chats! More info here.

Eyelash Extensions at Salon Lashe

I don’t do beauty posts that often, so when I do it must be something important. I finally tried eyelash extensions for the first time last weekend, and I’m so obsessed…I had to share!

I went to Salon Lashe on Oak Street because I had heard great things about this place. I walked in and everyone was super friendly and it was an extremely quiet environment, which is important when doing intricate work like eyelash extensions. They put so much time and effort into your lashes, it’s unbelievable! The owner actually formulated the glue they use, which is in over 650 salons worldwide.

I am beyond thrilled with the results! They’re long but they still look real and you can’t tell where my eyelashes end and where the extensions begin. I highly recommend this place and if you go, I would love to hear what your experience was like.

In Chicago we have 2 seasons–frigid and humid. It’s now humid season (besides the past few days we’ve been having…which have been AWESOME). So it’s time to stock up on some beauty products that will keep you looking fabulous, even when it’s 100% humidity.

So let’s thank Refinery29 for providing us with an easy list of the must-have beauty products every Chicago girl should have this summer. See Weather-Wise Beauty For A Hot Chicago Summer

Has anyone tried these products? Because I’m thinking about heading to Sephora and Ulta and buying all of these right now.
