Every season, the second the weather changes for good, I notice a huge difference in my hair, skin and nails. I’ve always known you’re supposed to switch up your beauty routine according to the weather (at least for extreme hot and cold) but I don’t really think to do it until there’s a noticeable difference — like my nail polish not lasting more than three days because my nails are so dry, or my skin peeling like I just came back from a tropical vacation (which I unfortunately did not). Now I’m here today to give you the 411 so you don’t make the same mistakes I’ve done in the past. I’m finally learning and figuring out the best cold weather beauty products. I cant keep these secrets to myself, so here’s what you need to know.
Should You Get Bangs?
Bangs are one of those things that we all have debated getting at some point in our lives. Many of us have gone through with it, some may have kept them with hopes they’d get easier to maintain, and most of us have given up. But as fashion trends come and go, the same goes for beauty. Every couple of years it seems like everyone is getting bangs…and you know once Beyonce does something, the world will follow.
Accepting The Facts
I thought we’d try a new sort of topic today. A little bit of beauty, a hint of lifestyle but all about…getting older and growing up. This has nothing to do with expensive anti-wrinkle creams and more frequent trips the doctor. I mean, I’m only 26…but no matter how old we are, we’re going to have to face the facts some day. So here’s a look at what aging means for a 20-something.
Long Hair, Do Care
When it comes to the topic of beauty, I mostly discuss nails (which by the way, be looking out for an extra special manicure today on Instagram), skincare and sometimes makeup…but rarely do I venture into the world of hair (except this one time). There’s something about the subject that us girls take way too personally so today we’re just going to get personal.
Beauty To-Go
Whether I’m leaving for a weekend getaway or traveling abroad for 2+ weeks, there’s certain things I just have to bring with…and they almost always have to be travel-sized (after all, I have to leave room for shoes…and lots of them).
