Topshop Topman Lollapalooza After Party

This weekend, I attended the Topshop/Topman Lollapalooza after party at Bar Deville. The venue was super laid back which goes along with the whole music festival theme. There were all sorts of people there; from those who were at Lolla all day in their cut-offs and tank tops to those decked out in dresses and sky high heels. And yes, I drank PBR in 6 inch Louboutins…so what? 🙂

Ran into Jeff from The Midwestyle!

This was such a fun event, and I got to see Tinie Tempah perform…which was really awesome. I’ve heard a few of his songs before but it was way cooler to see him live.

So basically (once again), Zapwater killed it. And I am so looking forward to more Topshop events and even more so…the TOPSHOP OPENING NEXT MONTH!

Topshop/Topman Truck at Lollapalooza

Can’t wait for Topshop and Topman to open this Fall? Neither can I. Which is why I’m so excited they’re debuting the Topshop/Topman truck this weekend at Lollapalooza!

The truck will debut in front of Grant Park, where you can come and pick up an exclusive fashion scarf! You can also enter for a chance to win a $1,500 shopping spree and VIP experience the day of launch of Topshop Chicago.

So check out the Topshop/Topman truck at Grant Park August 5-7 from 11am to 6pm. Be sure to follow @Topshop on Twitter for up-to-date info on their locations this weekend.

AllSaints Street Festival Pop-Up Shop

As I’m sure you all know by now that AllSaints has come to Chicago (if you weren’t aware, check out 700 N. Michigan and you’ll see what I’m talking about). But if Michigan Avenue isn’t your thing…don’t worry, because you can still get your dose of AllSaints without having to deal with the traffic and tourists. To promote their new store opening, AllSaints has created a portable pop-up shop that will be at the most popular street festivals here in the city.

Photobucket

I am so thrilled that AllSaints decided to do this because it gives “festival go-ers” a chance to get to know this amazing brand while they’re “on the go” this Summer. They even just added Little Saints (AllSaints childrenswear) to the mix. A kid friendly pop-up shop in the city? What a great idea!

So after trying some new bites, having a few beers and browsing the booths at your favorite street festivals, stop by the AllSaints pop-up to shop.

Oliver Peoples Comes To Chicago

Yesterday morning I attended the press breakfast for the Oliver Peoples store opening. They celebrated their grand opening of their new store on Rush Street yesterday and I am beyond  thrilled to have such a reputable brand as part of the shopping scene in Chicago.

Oliver Peoples’ designs are based on vintage American-made eyewear. Their retro yet classic styles are the core of their brand and it’s what keeps people coming back; they know they’ll get quality glasses that will never go out of style.

It was an honor to meet founder and creative director Larry Leight at the press breakfast. He was such a fun, laid-back guy who is beyond passionate for what he does. In the past he has collaborated on the launch of Prada, Miu Miu and Jil Sander’s eyewear brands (just to name a few). He was also one of the first eyewear designers to ever be elected othe CFDA.

Browsing the new collection of Oliver Peoples eyewear in the stunning dining room of Ria at the Elysian felt far from work…but I had to get it done so I can share this amazing experience with you 🙂 Larry Leight describes his approach to the collection as “Simplistic, sartorial  sexiness. None of the styles are overdone-they are timeless and classic-yet they embody the sensuality of the glamorous Hollywood figures they were inspired by.” I couldn’t have said it better myself…

Oh, and they have produced a limited edition run (50 to be exact) of these amazing rosegold aviators that are exclusive to Chicago!

Although a California-based company, I am more than happy to welcome Oliver Peoples to the lovely city of Chicago. I am looking forward to having more major brands like Oliver Peoples make their way to Chicago and become a part of our ever-growing fashion scene.

Be sure to visit the new Oliver Peoples store at 941 Rush Street.
