Looks like I’m feeling inspired by the couture shows once again but this time it’s not what we’re seeing on the runway that’s getting my attention…
#MBFWA
Every September and February, our Instagram and Twitter feeds flood with #MBFW and #NYFW posts (and if you’re lucky enough #LFW #MFW #PFW) because it wouldn’t be fashion week without a whole bunch of hashtags. But then there’s that one on the other half of the globe who gets their turn but once a year and a little later than everyone else — it’s #MBFWA (or Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Australia). You know how I feel about Australian designers so this had to happen.
Supermarket Chic
As fashion month comes to a close, there’s a lot to talk about — highlights from fashion weeks across the globe, new top models, Fall 2014 trends, Anna Wintour sitting second row at Valentino (insert gasp here) but these things are no longer important after the Chanel show happened.
Kendall Jenner Is Happening
As you may have heard by now, Kendall Jenner walked in the Marc Jacobs Fall 2014 show last week and it’s all anyone could talk about. Until she took over Vogue‘s Instagram, then Love Magazine’s Instagram and next thing we know she’s front row at London Fashion Week. So how did Kendall become fashion’s new “it” girl? Is Kendall the new Cara? Let’s find out.
Style.com vs. Weather.com
Do you ever find yourself looking at fashion week street style photos and wondering what season they were taken in? Sometimes you’ll see sweaters in September (even though it’s 75 degrees…but fashion folks just love their Fall attire) or bare legs in Winter (because tights can easily ruin an outfit…unless they’re these). This season is no exception.
So let’s have a chat about the weather, but most importantly…how much does it affect the way you dress?
