Chanel + Sports = <3

I’m no mathematician or anything but I can tell you that Chanel + Sports = THE MOST AMAZING SPORTING ITEMS I HAVE EVER SEEN. I came across the Chanel surfboard on Rachel Zoe’s The Zoe Report today and I immediately fell in love (just like when I fell in love with the Proenza Schouler tie dye surfboard). Who would have thought to make these types of items items so stylish? Chanel’s Sports 2010 line includes surfboards, skis, snowboards, a scooter, a bike, dumbells, golf clubs, a basketball, a football, and even a boat…yes a boat.

Here are some of my favorite items from the collection:

If this isn’t the most chic form of transportation, I don’t know what is.

I just can’t believe there is a Chanel boat. Ridiculous…yet awesome.

I’ve seen Chanel skis before but these are by far the coolest ones. They even have the signature Chanel quilting! Love it.

Let’s just say working out is not my favorite thing to do, but I would enjoy it much more if I got to use these Chanel dumbells.

Currently Obsessing Over: Philippe Audibert Glove

This isn’t just any glove…it’s the Philippe Audibert Mitaine Swarovski crystal silver glove. I don’t think an accessory could get anymore amazing than this. Philippe Audibert is known for creating jewelry with twisted metals and Swarovski crystals. I discovered Philippe Audibert jewelry when shopping at Scoop NYC when I was in Vegas this past December. It was love at first sight when I saw this silver and turquoise masterpiece so I knew right away…it must be a part of my jewelry collection. After browsing “what’s new” on Net-a-Porter (as I do just about everyday) I came across the Philippe Audibert Mitaine Swarovski crystal silver glove and I knew I had to share this current obsession.

Proenza Schouler Resort 2011

Lazaro Hernandez and Jack McCollough have done it again…I am absolutely obsessed with the Proenza Schouler Resort 2011 collection. I wasn’t in love with many resort collections for ’11. I liked a few pieces here and there but there weren’t many collections that I longed for…until I came across this one.

According to style.com, “it was inspired by a vacation the duo [Hernandez and McCollough] took to India—felt utterly urban and, yes, completely in tune with the way cool girls are dressing so far this summer.” They said it best…it’s what the cool girls are wearing 🙂

Here are some of my favorite pieces from the collection:

I think what made this collection look so amazing is the way each look was styled. Obviously each piece on its own is amazing, but it’s the overall look that really drew me to this collection. I’m also a complete sucker for metallics…which is a common theme throughout this collection.

Currently Channeling: Margherita Missoni

In honor of my latest purchase, a vintage Missoni dress, I wanted to dedicate a blog post to the heiress and face of the brand, Margherita Missoni (who also happens to be one of my style icons). Not only is she absolutely gorgeous, but she can pull off just about anything and everything she wears. Only Margherita could wear a floor-length dress and her signature Missoni headband (sporting it “hippie-style” of course) to a black-tie event…and get away with it. She has such a sweet and refreshing face that I just can’t help but think, “why aren’t we friends yet Margherita?”

Celebs Gone Designer (Part 2)

I hope you read my original Celebs Gone Designer post…because this is a continuation of celebrity-designed collections that are actually worth checking out. Don’t you just feel like anyone who’s been on TMZ a few times all of the sudden thinks they can design clothes? Designers must be talented…and I want to share only the best with you!

Whitney Eve

I am not one for reality stars…but I absolutely love Whitney Port. She genuinely seems like a good person and that’s hard to find in the Hollywood scene these days. I love her style…I don’t think I have ever seen an outfit of hers I didn’t like (I’m especially obsessed with the one pictured above that she wore for her show at Fashion Week). If you watched the first episode of the new season of The City you see part of the production of her Whitney Eve collection that debuted this February at New York Fashion Week.

Here’s a glimpse of her collection:

House of Harlow 1960

One of the most fashionable people in the Hollywood circuit…Nicole Richie. No one pulls off boho like Nicole…and I love every second of it. She has an amazing jewelry collection, House of Harlow 1960, that is reasonably priced and so fabulous. Inspired by her boho-chic style, House of Harlow 1960 has lots of gold pieces with great colors and shapes. I absolutely love the entire collection. She’s recently introduced shoes to her House of Harlow 1960 collection AND she recently launched her clothing line, Winter Kate (which is just as fabulous!)

Here are some of my favorite House of Harlow 1960 pieces:

Top Row (left to right): 14KT Gold Key Cocktail Ring ($59 at shopthetrendboutique.com), 14kt Yellow Gold Plated Aztec Bangle with Leather ($75 at singer22.com)

Bottom Row (left to right): 14KT Gold-plated Peacock Cuff with Enamel ($190 at shopthetrendboutique.com), 14ct Yellow Gold Plated Feather Necklace ($115 at asos.com)
