Whether or not you want to acknowledge it…Fall is just around the corner. And fashion people LOVE to tell you how much they LOVE it (layering! knits! boots! oh my!)…until Fall turns into Winter and then your boots are covered in slush and salt and you can’t wait to show off your pedicure once again. So while we’re still wearing minimal clothing, let’s talk about the Fall ’15 ad campaigns.
The Designer Stylist
It was announced the other day that Zendaya would be launching a shoe line with her stylist, Law Roach, and although nothing about that sentence excites me…it did get me thinking. What other stylists out there have collaborated with their clients? Or come out with their own brands in general?
Lessons From Couture
Now that the Fall 2015 Couture shows have come to a close (and it’s Bastille Day…yay for French things!) I thought we could learn some lessons from these collections. We’re not all part of the lucky few who get to actually wear these works of art, but we can get some inspiration from them…and just pretend like we’re couturing ourselves for a minute, right?
And The Award Goes To…
Besides the Met Gala, fashion’s next big night of the year would be the CFDA Awards (which are tonight!) But because I couldn’t wait until tomorrow to talk about them, I thought we’d have a little non-red-carpet chat today.
Travel The Barneys New York Way
It’s getting to be about that time again — summer vacation season. Although I think us Chicagoans might work a little differently (as we don’t suffer all winter just to LEAVE for the summer), I’m sure we’ll all get away at least for the weekend at some point over the next three months. So with that said, I got a few tips from this UNICEF lunch I attended yesterday at my safe place (AKA Barneys New York, Chicago) that I think we should discuss. Ready, [jet]set, GO!
