Macy’s Passport Presents Glamorama ARTrageous

This weekend I attended one of my favorite fashion events of the year, Glamorama! I had the pleasure of going with Corri McFadden of eDrop-Off and we had such a blast.

It was so fun seeing new collections from Sonia Rykiel, Marc Jacobs and even Karl Lagerfeld’s new line for Macy’s. I also got to see Cee Lo and Far East Movement perform which was super fun.

The after party was CRAZY (but in a good way) with so many goodies and activities…it’s definitely one of the most entertaining events I’ve ever been to.

Of course, one of my favorite parts is dressing up. I wore a Proenza Schouler Fall 2010 dress with spiked Christian Louboutin slingbacks and a neon Christopher Kane clutch.

FYI any photos from the Glamorama show were taken on my iPhone (they wouldn’t let me bring my camera in) so I apologize for the sub-par quality. But I do what I can to share my experiences with you…even if it means taking illegal photos 🙂

Did you go to Glamorama this year? What did you think?

My Bing Video With Amy Creyer of Chicago Street Style

I am so excited to finally be able to announce this exciting news…Amy Creyer of Chicago Street Style and I were one of 6 videos to be filmed to show the social aspect of Bing. The video shows how Amy and I influence each other when it comes to making decisions. And the Alexander Wang backpack they show? She bought it 🙂

Ps. Did you know I made a sweet video on the Friends Discover Bing page? Well you should check it out here.

Shop It To Me + What I Wore Shop Crawl

On Wednesday, August 24 Jessica Quirk from What I Wore will be at the 900 Shops promoting her new book appropriately titled, What I Wore. This is especially awesome to me because Jessica’s blog was the first personal style blog I ever discovered and really got me interested in fashion blogging.

So come to Julie Watson Style at 900 N. Michigan and sip cocktails, meet Jessica, and of course…shop!

Prabal Gurung’s First Ever Online Only Ads

One of my favorite designers, Prabal Gurung, released his first ever online only ads yesterday. I thought this was such a great concept to only release certain photos for online advertising and I’m really looking forward to seeing more innovative ideas like this with Prabal and in the fashion industry as a whole.

Check out the images from Prabal Gurung’s first ever Fall 2011 digital ad campaign.

I’m going to be honest, it takes a lot for me to really love an ad campaign. We see so many online, in magazines, etc and it can be very redundant. However, this literally gave me chills when I looked through these images. It really brings a whole new level of power to these clothes and this truly blew me away.

What do you think of Prabal’s first ever online ads?
