No longer do we just put on one necklace, a bracelet and a ring on our ring finger. I mean, what fun is that? It kind of all started with the “arm party” a few years back then moved onto how many rings can we fit onto each hand and now we’re pretty much at the point where it’s completely normal to wear a boutique’s worth of jewels in just one look (otherwise known as stacks on stacks and if you’re really ambitious #stacksonstacksonstacks).
Cold Shoulder
Between overalls, crop tops, and grunge there’s no doubt (pun intended) that 90s trends are in full force. Another one to add to the list? Let’s just say if you wear it now in Chicago you’ll definitely have a cold shoulder (or two).
How Do You Search?
If you’ve ever found yourself typing to your search engine like you’d talk to your best friend on the phone…I promise you’re not alone.
Happy bEARTHday
Happy Earth Day, friends (and if it also happens to be your birthday today then happy bEARTHday). To be totally honest with you, I’m not all that eco-friendly. My 12-year old 4Runner isn’t exactly a Prius, I do drink the occasional water bottle and I don’t bring my own bags to Whole Foods (shameful, I realize). So what can I do to fashionably contribute to Earth Day? I have a few ideas.
Activewear as Ready-To-Wear
Sometimes I’ll get dressed, look in the mirror and think to myself “where did this come from?” There’s certain things I’ve refused to wear in the past (with a few of the many listed here) but now I’m all about them. For example, I never thought I’d be wearing sneakers or sweatpants in public…then this happened. I’m not huge skirt person but then I ended up coming home with three after my Australia trip (here’s one of them). I don’t know how it happens but it just does. And now I can add activewear to this list of things-I-never-liked-but-now-I-wear-all-the-time. Yes, coming from the girl who openly despises exercises. Activewear.
