This outfit was originally picked out for me by Jeff (of The Midwestyle) at the Nordstrom Rag & Bone event, and it’s still one of my favorite outfits to date! Colorful shirt, printed pants, killer heels and a PS1…definition of my life, really.
I absolutely love street style so I always feel very honored when others like what I’m wearing enough to take a photo. Granted I don’t actually enjoy having my photo taken (I always feel awkward) but if it’s about the outfit, I’m okay with it. Thank you to everyone who told me about these! When it comes to fashion magazines, the highlight of my reading experience is always the main editorial. Unfortunately, American fashion mags rarely get as creative as their European counterparts…and the latest spread in Vogue Italia is the perfect example. “The Collections on IVC” is pretty genius, in my opinion, and I love it so much I just had to share it!
Pretend like QVC sold Prada and Versace and used top models to display their designs….and this is what you’d get.

Now’s the time where many of the Spring 2012 ad campaigns are surfacing, and with the amazing collections we saw last September these are bound to be good. But who has the best so far? Proenza Schouler…of course. Let’s take a look, shall we?
Really loving the mint color of this skirt for Spring (pastels are the biggest trend next season!) The softness of the skirt paired with that awesome textured top…genius.
Looks like I should start doing crunches if I’m ever going to pull this off…
This top is one of my favorite pieces from this collection.
Normally not a fan of brown and black together, but I’m definitely a fan of this look.

2011 was a pretty great year. Now that I look back, I got to experience a lot of amazing things and I’m so grateful for these opportunities. I hope you had an amazing 2011…but let’s make 2012 even better!

Having ChiCityFashion be featured in the latest issue of CS Magazine…along with my favorite blogger friends.
Meeting Glenda Bailey…she made Harper’s Bazaar what it is today and she is one of the most incredible people I’ve met to date.
My first Chanel bag…enough said 🙂
A surprise appearance by Giuliana and Bill at my 23rd birthday.
Seeing a Kelly bag get made before my very eyes at the Hermes Festival of Crafts.
It was my goal this year to make it to the McQueen exhibit at the Met, and thanks to their lovely extension…I made it!
Photographed by Tommy Ton (without even knowing it!) my first day at Fashion Week in New York this year. And seeing it on Style.com the next day…unreal!
I think this one takes the cake. Meeting my favorite designers (Jack and Lazaro), designing a custom version of my very favorite bag (the PS1), and it all led up to this…
I still can’t believe I own the only custom PS1. Officially the most treasured item in my closet.
