Beauty Products for a Hot Chicago Summer

In Chicago we have 2 seasons–frigid and humid. It’s now humid season (besides the past few days we’ve been having…which have been AWESOME). So it’s time to stock up on some beauty products that will keep you looking fabulous, even when it’s 100% humidity.

So let’s thank Refinery29 for providing us with an easy list of the must-have beauty products every Chicago girl should have this summer. See Weather-Wise Beauty For A Hot Chicago Summer

Has anyone tried these products? Because I’m thinking about heading to Sephora and Ulta and buying all of these right now.

Possessionista Friendship Bracelets

Known for live tweeting The Bachelor and finding what celebs wore to Starbucks/running their “real people” errands, Dana Weiss of The Possessionista has found a new hobby for all of us to benefit from…making friendship bracelets.

With friendship bracelets being all the rage, Dana has taken hers to the next level. These colorful accessories are made with vintage vinyl records and howlite skulls or vintage trade beads. Another cool concept to add to her new venture? She sells them in an “online pop-up” fashion. Meaning, you never know when she will make them available and there’s only one of each kind. So you have to snatch them up while you can.

So how can you get your hands on one? Follow @Possessionista  and keep checking www.possessionista.com  to find out when they’ll be available. And when they are, buy 2…and maybe we can be friends 🙂

A Missoni Holiday: Interview With Margherita Missoni

Missoni Resort 2012 became available on Moda Operandi today. Although I wanted everything (as always), I decided to restrain myself…for now. However, I came across Moda Operandi’s online magazine and today they featured an interview with my style icon, Margherita Missoni.

Why a Missoni holiday? Because the Missoni Resort 2012 collection was inspired by a getaway to Europe or Asia circa 1920. Moda Operandi states “you only need two or three of these easy outfits for an impromptu getaway” but I have to disagree…because I think I need the whole collection 🙂
