It’s about that time of year where if you’re under the age of 22 you’re PUMPED for three months of summer bliss, and if you’re 23+, you’ve already forgotten what that’s like (unless you’re a teacher and for that, I envy you). Although I’ve been in the “real world” for six years now, it’s not easy adjusting to life outside of college. Regardless of the year you were born, I think this is something we can all relate to.
A monthly mood board is no new concept but considering it seems like every other Instagram and Snapchat comes with the caption #MOOD or #VIBES (and I’d like to dabble in some other things besides fashion…there’s more to me than just clothes!) I thought I’d hop on the bandwagon but as always…with a CCF twist!
No, I’m not trying to tell you if it’s a good time to buy a home or continue to rent. Although this conversation can definitely be related to real estate, it’s of course about FASHION.

When it comes to our fashion scene in Chicago, it’s really been more about the community rather than the city supporting it (at least since I’ve been around, circa 2010). And that was made official when WWD recently reported that Chicago is pulling all fashion funding, including our version of fashion week — Fashion Focus. Surprised? Mad? Sad? DGAF?
