I’ve learned that Summer in Sydney means everyone goes gelato-crazy, the new Spring/Summer stuff is already on sale (yay!) and Birkenstocks are all the rage. So I thought I’d try to fit in (and don’t worry, I’ve already had gelato three times).
I have to admit, I’m doing a little cheating today. Considering I’m currently enjoying summer in Sydney (yes it’s summer somewhere) and this outfit can only [kind of] be appropriate for a Chicago winter. But I figured I’ll hold off on the beach photos for another week and do what I do best — stand in front of graffiti walls.
When it comes to complete outfit dressing, I’d say I’m a bit of a newbie (unless you count my elementary school days). Currently I have three options to choose from — one PJK summer set that I won’t be able to wear here in Chicago for a very long time, one sequin sweatsuit that I’ve surprisingly gotten a lot of use out of, and now a complete Ohne Titel grid-print look (which if you’re thinking to yourself that those pants look familiar, you’re right).
I guess you can just call me prints charming…
You know those miracle winter days when it’s not below freezing and you suddenly think it’s spring and heavy coats are no longer necessary? Today is not one of those days…but over the weekend (when these were taken) it was pretty decent. Although I learned the hard way, not decent enough to get away with just a sweater jacket. Oops.
Welcome, 2014. Nice to meet you. 2013 was pretty cool so you have some big shoes to fill (and as long as those shoes aren’t Birkenstocks, I think we’ll do just fine).
