Title: Account Coordinator
Qualifications:
- Must have excellent organizational skills
- Attention to detail and the ability to adapt to new conditions, assignments and deadlines
- Must be proficient in MS Office applications, specifically Microsoft PowerPoint and Excel, as well as MAC programs
- Must have a solid understanding of social media as well as the basics of community management and search engine visibility
- Strong project management skills
- Basic understanding of the role that public relations and social media play in a client’s communication strategies
- Ability to write press releases and pitch all relevant media story ideas about clients’ on-going programs and news
- Understand and be able to assist in the development of Facebook, Twitter, Instagram etc. content calendars
- Understand social media and be able to educate others about it effectively
- Solid research, writing and editing skills
- Understand why online monitoring is important and be able to identify tools (paid and free) that can be used to identify relevant conversations and influencers
- Assist in the development of online marketing/issues management campaigns
- Basic knowledge of website structure, digital space and social media is a plus
- 2-3 years of agency experience
Responsibilities:
- Composing press releases and pitches to distribute to targeted media for assigned clients and XA
- Copy editing/assistance
- Press clipping/archiving
- Internal Communications
- Assisting with event coordination/production
- Communicating daily with all social networks
- Reporting to Account Directors and EVP of PR
- Developing strategy for XA’s internal social media and digital marketing
- Assisting with building social media clientele as a separate division of XA PR
- Developing promotions based around client’s social media campaigns
- Assisting with managing basic updates to sites and/or applications for all areas of XA’s accounts including Facebook, Twitter and blogs
- Responding to comments on social media on behalf of the client
- Researching content ideas using online monitoring tools and search engines
- Preparing and/or reviewing activity reports, metrics reports and status reports for clients
- Developing understanding of client’s internal organization, business and sector
- Managing work process
- Working with account teams on client strategies
- Managing basic updates to sites and/or applications for all areas of an account
- Analyzing key word research
- Exhibiting effective project management working closely with account teams
- Analyzing market research including using online services
- Keeping entire account team abreast of timelines and deadlines
- Drafting competitive analysis audits
- Assessing online marketing strategies
- Other tasks as assigned
