Title: Social Media Coordinator (Full-time Position)
Qualifications:
- Excellent organizational skills
- Attention to detail
- Ability to adapt to new conditions, assignments and deadlines
- Must be proficient in MS Office applications, specifically Microsoft PowerPoint and Excel, as well as MAC programs
- Solid understanding of social media as well as the basics of community management and search engine visibility
- Strong project management skills as well as written and verbal communication skills
- Basic understanding of the role that the social media plays in a client’s communication strategies
- Understand and be able to assist in the development of Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and/or Pinterest content calendars and campaigns
- Understand social media and be able to educate and communicate with others about it effectively
- Solid research, writing and editing skills
- Understand why online monitoring is important and be able to identify tools (paid and free) that can be used to identify relevant conversations and influencers
- 2-3 years of agency experience
Responsibilities:
- Social Media Content Creation:
- Draft content for external communications, blogs and social networking platforms
- Use creative means to plan, organize, and implement a range of social media programs and/or events
- Contribute to and regularly update external social sites: such as Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Blog, and other community sites
- Develop content calendar for these sites
- Develop and execute social media strategies on behalf of the client
- Curate, edit and photograph images on behalf of the client
- Develop strategy for XA’s internal social media and digital marketing
- Develop social media campaigns based around client promotions
- Social Media Community Management:
- Respond to user inquiries and comments on established channels in real time as necessary
- Listen to and monitor all social media outlets: pages, sites, blogs on a daily basis and post/respond on particular topics or in response to other post/comments
- Convey a sense of community and build our following based on valuation content and mutual sharing
- Social Media Research and Analytics:
- Analyze key word research
- Draft competitive analysis and market audits
- Analyze market research including using online services
- Research content ideas using online monitoring tools and search engines
- Prepare and/or review activity reports, metrics reports and status reports for clients
- Assess online marketing strategies
- General Responsibilities of the SMC:
- Assist with building social media clientele as a separate division of XA
- Manage work process
- Work with account teams on client strategies
- Exhibit effective project management working closely with account teams
- Keep account team abreast of timelines and deadlines
- Must be comfortable presenting technical information to clients, PR team and prospective clients
