What Why Where: Fall Reboot

After switching over my summer wardrobe to fall last month, I realized my shoe closet could use a little reBOOT (if you catch my drift). So with the help of ECCO and StyleBistro, I got just what I needed…

Two different boots. Two looks. Let’s do this. But first…let’s go shopping.

WHAT (am I wearing):

WHY (am I wearing it):
Like I mentioned, my wardrobe really needed an upgrade in the boot department this fall so partnering with ECCO and StyleBistro could not come at a more perfect time. They asked me to style two looks — one for a day of shopping and one that pairs well with flat booties. When I’m out shopping all day (or doing anything, really), I like to look put together but also be comfortable (especially if I’m walking from store to store). It’s also nice to wear versatile pieces so you can get a better idea of what you’re buying and how it fits into your current wardrobe. The studded boots are probably some of the most comfortable shoes I’ve ever put my feet in. So that’s always a bonus. Plus, the studs add a little extra something so the outfit isn’t too simple. And that Vince coat? The second I feel a chill, it’s my new go-to piece of outerwear.

For the flat boots look, I like to keep my outfits well-balanced so pairing an edgier shoe with a more feminine outfit is what I wanted to do here. I’ve never been all that into sweater dresses but something has come over me this season. This is one I’d wear with tights and the same flat boots once it gets super cold, or even with leather pants if I want to keep on keepin’ on with the whole dress-with-pants thing. My staple footwear for fall is a flat boot in this sort of style but I especially dig this specific pair with the patent leather…takes them to another level without going over the top. And what more could you ask for?

So there you have it…the fall reBOOT.
