What Why Where: Lace Overalls

What happens when you’re wearing lace overalls and just so happen to SCOUT THE PERFECT WALL? Well, this… (duh)

You know I love Bear Champ but wait…THERE’S MORE.

WHAT (am I wearing):
Overalls: Nina Ricci. Sandals: Sophia Webster. Bra Top: Josh Goot. Necklace: Loren Stewart.

WHY (am I wearing it):
Let’s begin with the fact these lace overalls have been on my secret wishlist Pinterest board (which does exist, yes I admit that) since I first discovered them in the “what’s new” section on Shopbop quite some time ago. Because they’re lace overalls I decided to wait until they went on sale and if they were still available in my size I would go for it. And I think you know how the rest of the story goes. Although lace overalls are something you could dress up, I wanted to keep it simple (or as simple as lace overalls can be) with a bra top (which you’ve seen before..hello repeat offender!) and slide sandals. I wore this pretty much all day, and it’s the perfect amount of covered up for summer, as you’re not wearing cut-offs and a crop top but you don’t feel overheated. Who knew lace overalls and [essentially] a sports bra could be such great summer staples? Now back to the wall scouting. I wasn’t actually looking for a wall this day but I happened to come across this corner spot last weekend while getting Nando’s to-go (by the way…WELCOME TO CHICAGO, NANDO’S) and I knew this had to be my next background. An array of artists (the one pictured painting here is ATOWN TNS / @atownone) making the Threadless HQ extra cool…hey, I couldn’t help myself!
