After Emma Stone just wore some killer Lanvin to the Golden Globes (and was by far the best dressed on the red carpet) and the design house launched their Spring 2015 ad campaign yesterday, I think we could all use a little Lanvin in our lives today…don’t you?
Lanvin is known for going the extra mile when it comes to their ad campaigns. The latest for Spring ’15? Models and their kids (pictured above). I wish I could bond with my mom decked out in Lanvin but unfortunately neither of us are models or have an in with Alber. At least not yet…
I haven’t done a Throwback Thursday post since I admitted I used to be basic, so I thought it was about time. Plus I’m just really in a Lanvin mood today. There’s a few Lanvin campaigns I really remember — Fall 2011 was my favorite and Fall 2012 made quite an impact, but we’ll get to those in a minute. Let’s start from the earliest and work our way up.
For Spring 2010, models got all Matrix on us…which I’m so down with. I sure don’t bend that way so it’s fun to see people who can.
Fall 2010’s campaign made so much sense…because when you’re a model, why wouldn’t you want to double your dose of pretty? (or in this case, triple)
Spring ’11 proves that cat fights can happen over gorgeous clothes. Don’t forget it.
Fall ’11 was my everything. Raquel Zimmermann and Karen Elson looking like they’re dancing to some Wii game (which was perfectly appropriate for 2011). But the best part was the video that went along with the campaign.
HELLO ALBER.
I would not suggest looking for more images of the Spring 2012 campaign of you suffer from Ophidiophobia (and if you don’t know what that is, you should be good).
Fall 2012 was extra fantastic as Lanvin casted real people (not models) for this one. I even included one of the images from this campaign (of Advanced Style muse Jacquie “Tajah” Murdock) in What’s Old Is New Again. It was cool to see all different types of people (ages, races, personalities, etc.) in this campaign. One of my favorites any designer has done to date (besides Raquel and Karen’s awkward dance moves, of course).
Spring ’13 was all about getting decked out in Lanvin super early in the morning…or they were just having a really late night. Either way, Karlie looks FIERCE.
Edie Campbell played several roles for the Fall 2013 campaign, all with this fabulous retro feel. Although she was almost upstaged by the Aflac mascot…
I can’t help but wonder, was this campaign trying to start a pregnancy rumor? It’s the first thing people think when they see water instead of champagne (or is that just me?) And this Spring 2014 ad looks like a champagne kind of party.
Edie is at it again for Fall 2014, but this time she brought the whole family! (literally, it’s her real family)
Now that we’re all caught up, here’s a look at the Spring 2015 mother / daughter campaign. HOW PRECIOUS.

Do you have a favorite Lanvin ad? Or perhaps a designer who you’d like to see a #tbt for their ad campaigns from years past? Let me know in the comments!

Oh my gosh, I loved that video! If only we all had an in with Alber… 🙂
