Last night was the annual CFDA Awards. With the Met Ball being like the Oscars of fashion, I’d say this is more like the SAG Awards or the Golden Globes…it’s a big deal but nothing beats the Academy, ya know?
Unfortunately, I was not all that impressed with the looks this year. With a crowd of designers, models and muses I expected way more from these people. It is the Council of FASHION Designers of America…so step up the fashion, please.

Earlier last month, I developed a short-term addiction by ordering everything on The Cut’s Best Bets. The first to kick off the series of purchases was the Best Bet: Iwona Ludyga Skull Ring post.
I have a ton of oversized rings and I’ve been looking for alternative options so I can wear multiple rings on each hand. This seemed too cool of a piece to pass up!
I love how it’s small and dainty but still has a bit of edge with that tiny skull. With the options of rose gold or yellow gold and black diamonds or white diamonds for the eyes, I decided to go with yellow gold (because I’ve been buying way too much rose gold lately) and black diamonds. What do you think?
Rad + Refined has made its trips to Chicago for their week-long pop-ups, but now they’re expanding to have a permanent presence here in the city! As a wine enthusiast myself I’m really excited to attend Wine Riot this weekend at Union Station. Wine Riot is a unique wine event created by wine lovers who wanted a more fun environment for tastings. With a DJ, photobooth and more, this is far from your ordinary wine tasting. The coolest part? They have a mobile app where you can keep track of the wines you like throughout the event. I personally always forget the wines I end up liking (all I know is I love Cab) so I’m especially pumped about that aspect.

After traveling to (and falling in love with) Australia 2 summers ago, I was beyond thrilled to see one of my favorite shopping sites, Moda Operandi, embracing the fashion down under. While I was there, I even had the privilege of checking out an exhibit at the Powerhouse Museum in Sydney, all about Australian Fashion Week…which is what truly sparked my interest in Aussie fashion.
Style icon and Moda Operandi Artistic Director Taylor Tomasi Hill was in Australia for fashion week earlier this month and selected her favorites from all of the shows, and they’ve been making an appearance on MO since. There are few websites with the influence Moda Operandi has who celebrate fashion in Australia so it’s pretty great to have the opportunity to shop designers like Josh Goot, Dion Lee, Michael Lo Sordo, Ellery, Ksubi, Manning Cartell, and Camilla and Marc.
Loving tropical prints right now? Then you have to check out the latest Autralian designer to hit MO–Ksubi (ps. look #25 is my favorite!)
