Ah, the Met Gala. The most glorious and glamorous night of the year. Who needs actresses in borrowed gowns (re: Oscars) when you have actors / models / singers / designers / socialites / people you’ve never heard of with fabulous names in the most incredible borrowed gowns? Plus, at $25k a ticket you know they’re not going to skimp on accessories. We have a lot of looks to get through so let’s get to it!
All Buttoned Up
As much as I like to think I don’t spend my days aimlessly scrolling through Instagram, because I really don’t, every once in a while I’ll do some Insta-exploring (although I always seem to end up on someone’s account who has 1+ million followers, but they have no bio and I’ve never even heard of them). I digress, though. This is not about Instagram stalking. It’s about what one may discover is a trend when one wasn’t aware this was a trend in the first place (at least according to every trend report that comes out twice a year…sometimes four times if we’re really feeling Pre-Fall or Resort). It’s time to get all buttoned up, my friends. It’s going to be a wild ride.
Bear Champ
If you live in Chicago, I’m sure you have passed by a mural at some point that involves a bear wearing boxing gloves. If you haven’t, then you most likely never leave your neighborhood (and in that case you might as well live in LA). Regardless of where you reside or what you see in your ‘hood, we can all learn a little something from the Bear Champ today.
