P&G and Me

Ever heard of the P&G Beauty Collective? (you know…the P&G that’s behind pretty much every major beauty brand?) Well, friends, now you have.

p&g beauty

Over the next eight months, I’ll be representing Chicago in P&G’s Beauty Collective initiative, which basically is just a way to share with you products I already use but with a twist (like giveaways, fun Instagrams, etc.) This collective is myself, along with ten other bloggers in various cities throughout the country, so I’m pretty pumped to REP CHI CITY [fashion…although in this case, beauty]. If you aren’t in Chicago and want to see who else is participating, here are the other girls in the collective — Nany’s Klozet, The Fashionista Next Door, Pretty Shiny Sparkly, Chronicles of Frivolity, Styled Snapshots, Allie Wears, M Loves M, Just Add Glam, A Lacey Perspective, and Trendy Hungry.

As you probably already know, P&G is a huge company but they make some of the most popular products out there by the most reputable brands. So I thought I’d share my commentary (which could even be slogan-worthy)…and as always, feel free to share yours.

secret

Secret — What’s my secret to not smelling like B.O? IT’S SECRET (which I guess is no longer a secret…)

vidal sassoon

Vidal Sassoon — Documentary already added to my Netflix list!

pantene

Pantene — If you use this, you will look like Giselle.

covergirl

Covergirl — Everyone from musicians (like Janelle Monae and Taylor Swift) and actors (Drew Barrymore and Keri Russell) to athletes ( Alicia Sacramone and Shawn Johnson) and America’s Next Top Model winners have all been Covergirls. You know what that means? WE’RE ALL COVERGIRLS!

head and shoulders

Head & Shoulders — ‘Tis the season to stop lying about that “snow” on your head. It’s not even snowing…

olay

Olay & Olay Body — Don’t want wrinkles? Don’t have $1,000 for moisturizer that claims to have diamonds / gold / exotic ingredients that probably don’t do anything anyway? Get Olay.

herbal essences

Herbal Essences — Something we can all relate to.

aussie

Aussie — If there’s even the slightest chance I am transported to Australia and/or will develop an Australian accent when using these products, then I AM SO IN.

clairol

Clairol — Due to my constant growth of  grays (which I pretend to accept), it looks like at-home coloring is in my near future.

So if you’re a fan of these, be sure to keep yours eyes on @ChiCityFashion and who knows what awesome things will come your way? In the mean time, here’s a few products you should consider trying (and with nothing over $30, how can you say no?)
