A trend I’ve come across for Spring 2012 is the sheer skirt. However, these aren’t any ordinary sheer skirts; these are more of an illusion…it’s the new sheer skirt. The look of a short dress and a long sheer skirt with intricate detailing at the hem, these are definitely show stopping pieces.

What do you think of this trend for Spring ’12? Do you think it will translate to the street or will it just be something we see on the red carpet? Let me know in the comments section below!
I absolutely love this trend. It may not be practical, but I can definitely see some bold trendsetters out there who will bring it to the streets.
These looks are gorgeous for one, and I can definitely see a lot of people riding this wave, but for me, it isn’t the most practical… for lecture halls and all 🙂

I’m not totally sold yet. I think it looks a little like the bottom layer of your dress ripped but you can’t bear to part with it so you just let it drag along the street.
I think a more ready-to-wear version will definitely be hitting the streets this spring. I know I’m searching for the perfect sheer maxi skirt right now.
