What Why Where: Dries + The 606

Ah, to think it was 92 and sunny just two days ago — a perfect time to check out the new 606 Trail that just opened (think The High Line but in Chicago). And now we’re back to high 60s and rain. Chicago, our love / hate relationship continues. But first, LOVE.

HELLO 606!

That rail is slicker than it looks (could also be the chiffon…)

WHAT (am I wearing):
Dress: Dries Van Noten. Bag: M2MALLETIER. Shoes: Nicholas Kirkwood. Sunglasses: Zac Posen x Illesteva.

WHY (am I wearing it):
I typically don’t get all that fancy here on CCF but every once in a while, I just like to surprise you 🙂 I prefer a summer dress that can be dressed up or down, as I enjoy versatile clothing (especially those investment pieces). I already wore this dress with flat sandals (only a few weeks ago…now that’s one quick repeat offender) so I thought I would take it to the next level with these platform sandals (which have also made a previous appearance). Although it’s a chiffon dress with high shoes, I still don’t feel overdressed (although maybe for the park, as everyone is biking and /or running). Speaking of the park, have you guys been yet? I only checked out one part of the 606 near Milwaukee / Leavitt but once it stops raining for more than two hours, I want to hit up the whole thing (most likely with Laz and Lennox in hand…and not in Dries!)
