Fun In The Sun

After Giambattista Valli sent all 45 looks down the runway with sunglasses for his Fall 2014 Couture show yesterday, I thought that was a pretty badass move. We rarely see sunnies for couture, let alone on every single model in one show. Emoji claps for Giambattista. And a thumbs up for giving me an excuse to talk about my favorite accessory…

Such a Poser

Before we had Instagram to share all of our #fromwhereistands and #ootds, we had Pose. If you’re not familiar with the social site/app, it’s one where you upload your outfit, tag accordingly and others can shop the look. I’ve been using it for about three years now and they’re always coming up with new features, but the latest one happens to be pretty major.

Life’s a Beach

You would think that because I’m a fashion blogger, I love shopping and I buy new stuff all the time, right? Well it’s partially true (sorry I’m such a cliché) but there’s certain wardrobe necessities that I never think to buy or upgrade. A few items that fall in that category would include socks, pajamas and today’s topic — swimwear…or anything that involves a beach or pool, really.

Technically, Fashion

Regina George’s feelings about the word “fetch” are similar to how I feel about wearable technology — stop trying to make it happen (sorry, Gretchen). How connected do we really need to be at all times? Is it necessary to have a piece of jewelry to tell us when someone liked our Instagram or glasses that take a picture for you instead of you reaching ALL the way into your bag, taking out your phone and just doing it yourself? Apparently, we do.

Fashion-Gram Vol. 2

A few weeks back, I tried this thing called fashion-gramming, basically a personal style post consisting of selfies and other outfit-related things I post on Instagram, with a little more info (does anyone even read my Insta captions anyway?) So I thought I’d give it another go (after all, it’s been two weeks since volume 1). Ready?
