Now that I officially got the memo that summers in Chicago have reduced from about three months to just under two, I thought it was time for a look to fit the big transition…and nothing does that better than leather pants.

The Big Transition
I didn’t think I’d have to start talking about Fall until at least September 1, but considering we’ve had only a handful of real summer days here in Chicago…I guess the new season will be here sooner than we think. It seems like just yesterday I was putting on shorts for the first time (which it practically was) and before I knew it — boom — back to pants. I’m not putting away my open toe shoes just yet, though. I have to draw the line somewhere…

While reading the most recent issue of Harper’s Bazaar during one of two times I read magazines (getting a pedicure and traveling…I’m still in Chicago so you can make an educated guess which one I was doing), a bag caught my eye in one of their editorials, and I couldn’t stop thinking about it.
