Some people are shoe addicts, others are bag addicts…I, however, am addicted to sunglasses. It’s something that started when I learned how to drive. I found myself heading to Nordstrom every weekend immediately following me passing my drivers test. Not sure what got into me (or how I passed that test in the first place) but it’s something that never left. Although that started with those awfully small oval sunglasses that no one remotely stylish has worn since 2004, it evolved into something more…

Shop My Closet On Vaunte
So I’ve had my eye on this website for a while (and by a while I mean since they launched in November, so really not that long) and it’s a pretty cool idea. Think Gilt meets online luxury consignment meets The Coveteur…oh and the New York Times is a fan. All good stuff, right?
Vaunte is the brainchild of Gilt’s former VP of Creative (and one of the original Gilt team members), Leah Park, and Gilt’s former VP of Marketing and Brand Relations, Christian Leone. And if you’ve ever read By Invitation Only, you know Gilt gets the best talent.

Red Carpet Fashion: 2013 CFDA Awards
This really is my week, isn’t it? Finishing up Cannes (although it really ended last week…I was just a little late in the game) and now the CFDA Awards. After coming off of such a fabulous red carpet (but what isn’t fabulous in the south of France, really?) it’s disappointing to see such underwhelming styles at an actual fashion event. Last year was no exception. I only fancied Erin Heatherton in Michael Kors and Zoe Saldana in Prabal Gurung but that’s about it. I know the Met Gala is the biggest fashion red carpet of the year, but wouldn’t you think the CFDA Awards would be a close second?
Okay less ranting, more judging.

What Why Where: My Kind of Matching
You know those times you’re really excited to wear something then it ends up being totally inappropriate for the weather? Well that’s what happened to me wearing leather pants on a roof top…when it’s 80 degrees.
