Brian Atwood Clutch at the Swarovski Event

I recently received a lovely package from Skirt PR that I absolutely could not wait to open…

It’s a gorgeous Brian Atwood clutch from his new line of handbags, sold exclusively on Gilt!

So when I was getting ready for the Swarovski event Tuesday night, I knew I’d be basing my outfit around this amazing bag. All black. Colorful accessories. But nothing to take away from the clutch. So here it goes…

So off to Swarovski I go! This event was to celebrate the unveiling of an exclusive window installation created by students of the Fashion Body & Garment Master’s Program, mentored by Nick Cave, of the School of the Art Institute of Chicago.

How awesome are the windows?!

It’s not a Chicago fashion event without running into Amy of Chicago Street Style!

Loving the Brian Atwood clutch on this sweet Swarovski ottoman!

The event was really cool. I love the new windows and let’s be honest…how can you not love being in a store that sparkles?

‘By Invitation Only’ Launch With Gilt City

Gilt Groupe founders Alexandra Wilkis Wilson and Alexis Maybanks will be in Chicago Thursday, April 19 celebrating the launch of their new book, By Invitation Only. With all of the flash sale members only sites now available, Gilt remains one of the most popular (and they happen to be one of the first). So I am very excited to meet the founders and learn about how it all began by checking out their book!

These ladies literally changed the way people shop so this is one event not to miss! VIP tickets for this event are now available on Gilt City so you can purchase yours here and be sure to join if you’re not yet a member.

Can’t make it to the city the 19th? Don’t worry, because Alexandra and Alexis are making a stop in the suburbs! They’ll be at the Highland Park Public Library (494 Laurel Avenue) Friday, April 20 at 1pm to sign their new book. Please note, the Highland Park event is not affiliated with Gilt City.

Brad Goreski Chicago Book Signing

One of my favorite men in fashion, Brad Goreski, will be in Chicago this Saturday promoting his new book Born to be Brad. From growing up in a small town outside Ontario to styling A-list celebrities, Brad is spilling it all.

Brad’s always seemed like a genuine and appreciative person (which is quite rare with celebrities these days) so I’m very excited to pick up a copy of his new book and check out this event. On a side note…I’m most excited to see what he’ll wear.

“Jules For Mom” Custom Jewelry Event

There’s nothing more meaningful than a personalized gift, and even better when it’s one made by a local designer! If you’re looking for the perfect Mother’s Day gift…look no further.

On April 28, Jules Schwanbeck of Jules jewelry will be at Mark Shale helping guests customize her very popular initial ID necklaces. Customers can select not only the lettering, but also the shape, style of chain, and metal.  In addition to personalizing accessories by Jules, those who spend $300 or more at Mark Shale will receive a gift with purchase!

Because of the endless number of combinations, each necklace is made to order and customers can expect to receive their custom jewelry within 2-3 weeks (in time for Mother’s Day, of course). Jules will be available all day for meet and greet, product knowledge, and ordering assistance. She’s super awesome and her jewelry is amazing so I definitely recommend checking it out!
