Hermes Festival of Crafts

On Sunday I went to the Hermes Festival of Crafts next to the Hermes store on Oak Street. It was honestly one of the coolest things I’ve ever been to. It’s even cooler that Chicago is one of THREE of cities to hold one of these exhibits. This is the first EVER Festival of Crafts and I am so happy I was able to experience it.

If you haven’t seen it yet, you need to go. Skip school, skip work, book the next flight out to Chicago…whatever you have to do, you must see this. Getting a demonstration of how Hermes bags, scarves, watches, saddles, ties and dress shirts are made is amazing. They’ve been hand making everything since 1837 and it’s beyond impressive that they have kept that up for so long.

Today is the last day so head to 25 E. Oak Street any time from 10am to 6pm. I hope you can make it!
