LaundryMagazine Launches Dotshop Today

One of the best things to happen to the Chicago fashion scene, LaundryMagazine is starting a new venture today. And that venture is Dotshop!

I’ve always loved how LaundryMagazine really embraces Chicago fashion, and now they’re taking it one step further. Dotshop is a new online boutique featuring the work of emerging designers from Chicago. This new concept will feature 3 limited-edition pieces each month, designed for Dotshop or chosen from a designer’s collection. In addition to the e-commerce site, Dotshop will include profiles with each designer and editorial photo shoot displaying the items available for sale. Plus, a portion of the proceeds from each Dotshop sale will support LaundryMagazine’s New Designer scholarship fund!

This is really going to take Chicago fashion and online shopping to another level…and I can’t wait! Will you be shopping Dotshop today? Shop here www.laundrymagazine.com/dotshop

Chicago Event: Fashion Forward

Tonight, the Mayor’s Fashion Council of Chicago is hosting an event to discuss the importance of technology in fashion. As a fashion blogger, especially in Chicago, I find this event to be extremely important and I’m really looking forward to this discussion.

Can’t make the event? You can join the conversation on Twitter by using the #FashionForward hashtag. Who knew technology could be so fashionable?

Chicago Street Style on CNN

Amy Creyer of Chicago Street Style was featured yesterday on CNN.com! The article, Colorful layers of style on Chicago’s streets, features Amy’s favorite street style photos along with what she loves about the fashion here in Chicago.

And I was so excited to see that Amy included me in this story! The photo, also seen on Refinery29, includes 2 of my favorite neon accessories…so I’m glad they got some more exposure 🙂

Amy has such amazing things to say about fashion in Chicago…this story is a must read! See Colorful layers of style on Chicago’s streets.
