If there’s any designer trending as hard as Gucci right now, it has to be Vetements. If you’ve never heard of Vetements, you clearly were not Instagram at any point during fashion month. But don’t you worry, I’ll get you caught up in no time.
Many women are very loyal to their shoe brands (Manolo BB pumps on the reg, red soles only, all Choo all the time, etc). I, on the other hand, prefer as many shoes as possible from as many designers as possible. But with so many fashion brands out there who create everything from shoes and bags to clothing and jewelry, as well as more recent footwear phenomenons like Sophia Webster and Charlotte Olympia…how does one keep track of this shoe madness? Well today’s post won’t help, but it will make you extra cool.
When it comes to our fashion scene in Chicago, it’s really been more about the community rather than the city supporting it (at least since I’ve been around, circa 2010). And that was made official when WWD recently reported that Chicago is pulling all fashion funding, including our version of fashion week — Fashion Focus. Surprised? Mad? Sad? DGAF? You let it out honey…put it in the book blog.

I’ve raved about fashions from London, Sydney, Paris, Berlin, and Moscow (to name a few)…but today it’s time to focus on a city that houses one of my favorite new designers (that I am PUMPED to share with you today) — Helsinki’s own Samuji (get it? HEL[sinki] YES!)
