Au Naturel

It’s the one day of the year where everyone tries to be eco-friendly, where all the blogs are writing about sustainable fashion, and we’re all extra proud we’ve been recycling for so many years (if you didn’t know…it’s Earth Day). I’ve done the whole how to fashionably contribute to Earth Day types of posts in the past (although I’m still pretty proud of last year’s) but this year, I’m using Earth Day as an excuse to write about something I’m quite passionate about…although the passion is still pretty new for me. Can you guess what it is?

Happy bEARTHday

Happy Earth Day, friends (and if it also happens to be your birthday today then happy bEARTHday). To be totally honest with you, I’m not all that eco-friendly. My 12-year old 4Runner isn’t exactly a Prius, I do drink the occasional water bottle and I don’t bring my own bags to Whole Foods (shameful, I realize). So what can I do to fashionably contribute to Earth Day? I have a few ideas.

Have a Stylish Earth Day

You know how you wake up on January 1 and feel like you’re really going to commit to your new years resolutions this year (post-hangover of course)? And then by the next week, you’ve already forgotten about them. That’s kind of like what Earth Day is; you’ll try to commit to taking shorter showers and turning the lights off when you leave the room…but then it completely slips your mind on any day that’s not Earth Day. Nothing to be ashamed of. I drive a 2002 Toyota 4Runner…and trust me, it ain’t no Prius.

So to celebrate this wonderful holiday, I thought the Chanel Fall 2013 globe clutch would be the perfect image to get us started. After all, it is Karl’s world…and we’re all just living in it.
