Throwback Thursday: Cannes Film Festival
I haven’t done a Throwback Thursday here in quite a while, and what better occasion to revive it than CANNES TIME? Yes, it’s that time of year again — where both American and foreign A-listers gather in the south of France to celebrate film be photographed in expensive borrowed gowns for all of us to judge. But because the festival kicked off just yesterday, I wanted to wait a bit before we discussed this year’s red carpet so I thought I’d compromise and talk about the best of the Cannes red carpet from years past (as well as the not-so-great, the…interesting, and the Diane Kruger — a category of its own).

There was a place and time where it was cool to wear logos — Gucci G’s, Fendi F’s and Juicy Couture everything (so the 2001-2006 range). Then it died off for a while and now we’re seeing a comeback, but [thankfully] in a slightly more tasteful way.

Red Carpet Fashion: 2014 Grammys
The 3 1/2 hour concert also known as the Grammys happened last night. All that was missing was Blue Ivy featuring Jay-Z and Beyonce. That, and the lack of fashion folks on the red carpet (like Rihanna, Lady Gaga and Bey herself) was pretty disappointing. But at least I learned about some new people (and by that I mean I didn’t know about half the people on the red carpet).
So most importantly, let’s see who wore what…shall we?
