I first discovered Meredith Wendell at Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week’s first ever accessories bazaar  (took this photo of their collection while I was there) and with the brand’s use of bright colors, I was immediately hooked…and you will be too. So stop by space519 at the 900 Shops this Saturday to check it out!

Currently Obsessing Over: Proenza Schouler Evening Clutch

Happy Friday all!

I’m going to spend my weekend starring at these Proenza Schouler evening clutches so I thought you could do the same…

Not only is is the perfect size, but it’s a great structured silhouette and I love when bags can be worn with or without the strap. Plus, I could literally find a reason to buy every color (but let’s be honest, the neon yellow is my #1 pick).

Brian Atwood Handbags on Gilt

Very exciting news about one of my favorite shoe designers (who also happens to be ridiculously good looking)–Brian Atwood!

Starting Wednesday, March 28th, Gilt.com will be the exclusive retailer for Brian Atwood’s brand new line of handbags.  Gilt will feature 4 main styles from the collection – the Carla, Theodora, Kate and the Iside – and  they will continue to be the exclusive retailer throughout the spring season of these gorgeous bags. Here’s a look at what’s to come…

The Carla is a basic envelope clutch that comes in a variety of materials and colors from black suede to color blocked snakeskin.

The Theodora is a miniaudiere hardcase constructed from inlayed enamel that’s the perfect statement bag; great for a cocktail party or black tie event.

These bags are exclusive to Gilt members so if be sure to join here, and don’t miss out on this sale beginning tomorrow at 11am ct. As always…happy shopping!

J. Mendel Fall 2012: Pure Luxury

Regardless of the season, Giles Mendel will always show luxurious looks with feminine silhouettes, and of course with the most amazing craftsmanship. This season, he really focused on soft shapes in a neutral palette (with of course some burgundy throughout the collection…stock up now because it’s Fall’s biggest color trend!),  along with gorgeous textured fur that appears voluminous yet light at the same time.

The eveningwear was stunning as per usual. Gold tones mixed with nude and the most intricate beading, these sure have a chance landing on the best dressed list at the Oscars next weekend. Another big trend seen on the Fall ’12 runways and also for J. Mendel are cut outs. I love this look because it’s a cool, subtle way to show some skin. And with the class J. Mendel brings to every collection, these cut outs were done perfectly.

When I was at this show I honestly couldn’t even believe I was there. The clothes were beyond stunning, the music was electric and there was a celeb-packed front row where I was even a little starstruck (which is not something I can say often). It was a surreal moment and I’m so thankful to be invited to see such an incredible designer’s collection first-hand.

No you’re not seeing double…it’s Mary Kate and Ashley looking fierce in all black in the front row.

The look on the right (on Lindsey Wixson) is my absolute favorite from the collection.

Some exciting J. Mendel news–this was the first time in-house designed handbags were shown in a collection. Yes, Fall 2012 is the debut year of J. Mendel bags! Crocodile with mink and alpaca fur lining? Would expect nothing less from J. Mendel.

[Not just because I eat sleep breathe Jack and Lazaro] but it’s the best carryall, made with the most amazing quality materials…and it just looks awesome. In my eyes, nothing can beat this PS1 but with so many shapes, fabrics and sizes…you’re bound to find one you love.

Now PS1s aren’t just bags anymore…they’re wallets, totes, pouches  etc. Exciting, right?! Check it out…
